100k Lives Campaign
C2317 Maximal Barrier Central Lin
The 100,000 Lives Campaign* is a nationwide initiative launched by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)* to significantly reduce morbidity and mortality in American health care. Building on the successful work of health care providers all over the world, they are introducing proven best practices across the country to help participating hospitals extend or save as many as 100,000 lives annually. UPDATE: The 100k Lives Campaign is now the 5 Million Lives Campaign.

One of the 100k campaign's six steps to reduce harm and deaths is preventing Central Line Infections by implementing a series of interdependent, scientifically grounded steps called the "Central Line Bundle". Medical Concepts Development, in conjunction with a 100k mentor facility, has produced a new Central Line Sheet designed specifically to meet maximal barrier criteria of the Central Line Bundle.
